  Subject: Why?
Saw an update dated 15 May (Sunday) & one of the watches caught my eye. Since you guys stated there'll be no reservation via phone and watches are 1st come 1st serve basis with priority given to walk-in customer, also given that you guys only open on Tues, Thur & Sat only, I thought I probably will wait till 17 May when u open for business. Turn out u will be closed on 17 May as it's a public holiday. But even before you open for business, some of the watches were updated on 16 May as Sold or On Hold. Why is this so?

Replied by JW: Those were last Friday's listing. We update new watches on Monday/Wednesday/Friday at night around 10pm. We will then put "sold" or "on hold" the following day(s), sometimes one two days later but mostly done on the day where we do our next new listing cause we are not 24 hours online.

We suggest you view our website on every Monday, Wednesday & Friday around 10pm and make your purchase the following days (Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday). "WW" - Wanted Watches usually sold within half an hour once shop opened.

Due to lack of manpower, we close that 4 days (including Sunday) for watch repairing/servicing. We work 7 days a week including public holidays (except CNY & Watch Fair) since 1996.

  Subject: Servicing an Omega Speedmaster
One fine day three months ago, my Omega Speedmaster cal 861 stopped working. Apparently, the mainspring broke due to wear. I brought my watch to John who looked at it and said that the problem was indeed due to a broken mainspring. I left my watch in John's good hands. It took a while as John had to order a new mainspring. When John called to inform me that the watch was ready, I went to JW to collect my watch. My speedmaster was working fine and John said that he also overhauled my watch for free. Now that is good service.

I have recommended a few friends to John and one of them actually bought a Ball engineer from JW. He is happy with his purchase and so did I as I got my speedmaster from JW. I told my friends that before you go and get an expensive watch, you need to know a good and friendly watchmaker. John is both good and friendly. Thanks John
